Most advance hair transplant technique in Pakistan

If you are suffering from baldness and want to rectify the problem, your first try should be medicines. However if medicines do not work then get a hair transplant surgery which has become very common these day and happens to be very effective.

There are two universal techniques on carryout the procedure. The first is known as the Strip Excision Surgery, and the second one is known as the follicular unit extraction (FUE) which is more of a modern day hair transplant surgery. They both are equally good with more commonalities than difference. However, since the FUE method is the modern way of doing a hair transplant, people generally tend to prefer FUE over Strip excision surgery. We will walk you through both the surgery’s highlighting the positives and negatives of both for you to make an informed decision on whether you want to go for a Strip Excision Surgery or a FUE Surgery.

With Strip Excision Surgery method of hair transplantation, the surgeon collects a strip of skin from an area of good hair growth usually this is a 3-4 inches area and then with the use of very fine needles, punctures or makes tiny piercings on the places on the scalp for the strip of hair to be put where the baldness is evident. The hair is then put in a prearranged density and pattern to promote a realistic hair pattern. This procedure leaves a small scar on the area however, once covered with hair it is almost unnoticeable. Post surgical pain usually lasts for one to two weeks and the surgeon usually prescribes pain killers for several days. The only downside to this surgery is that since the strip harvested is directly put in a different area it could result in unnatural growth and the look of hair.

With Follicular Unit Extraction or FUE hair transplant surgery, the surgeon takes out individual follicular units of hair containing 1 to 4 hairs which are removed under local anesthesia and not big strips of skin for example 3-4 inches big as with the strip excision surgery. This micro removal in general uses tiny punches or piercings between 0.5mm to 1.0 mm in diameter. With the help of very small micro blades or fine needles, the surgeon then makes punctures on those areas of the scalp which will receive those implants. The surgeon then places them in a predetermined density and pattern, and angles them in a consistent fashion to promote a realistic hair pattern. FUE is the modern way of doing a hair transplant surgery but is more time consuming than the strip surgery. FUE can take a single long session or multiple short sessions depending on what the patients want and the surgeon’s experience.

Since FUE is the more recent and a relatively modern method of carrying out a hair transplant procedure, many people opt for FUE instead of strip excision surgery. Furthermore, FUE is said to give very natural results. Another reason as to why people prefer FUE over strip excision is that since FUE negates the need for large areas of scalp tissue to be implanted, therefore, there is no slit on the back of the head and it doesn’t leave a scar. Since small individual follicles of hair are removed, only small scars remain which are virtually not as visible. Furthermore any post surgical pain and discomfort is significantly reduced with an FUE surgery as compared to the strip excision surgery.
